Appearance

Born with Heterchromia, his eyes are complete different colors. On one side, there's a deep and firey red, and on the other is a dark green. He's slender and tall, and has a generally emotionless demeanor to him.

Personality

With his generally emotionless demeanor, Adlar has a very minute amount of humor, and that which he does have is a cruel and relentless type. Being the only thing that ever really entertains him, and believing he is much better than most people, he enjoys watching society, seeing it all as a zoo and a joke. He doesn't let his emotions get in the way of his views, and if he wants something.... Well, there's no reason he can't just take it...



History

His mother was an unfortunate victim in her life. She was raised in an Airbender village off the coast of the earth republic. This same small village was the subject of a largely ruthless Wastelande pillaging, which left the town in ashes and completely abandoned. But they didn't kill Huila. They took her hostage, and kept her as a prisoner and a play toy for the chief. He impregnanted her not long after.

Huila died in childbirth. Aktik, the chief, and his two wives, Ernet and Ikidlu, were given a small child as an exchange. Due to a blizzard ending the moment Ernet picked him up, she dubbed him the name "Adlar", meaning Clear Skies.

Due to his bastard heritage, Adlar was never seen as an important figure to the tribe. He was forced to clean, to cook, to do the dirty work. From age five, Adlar watched the tribe from afar. He didn't join in any festivities, until one day he decided to sneak into a welcoming ceremony for the chief. Adlar saw everything up close. The flaying of male hostages. The raping of female hostages, the chief always the first and last... Adlar watched as if he was studying a group of gorilla bears.

Adlar was interrupted when someone grabbed his wrist. He looked up to see his stepmother, Ikidlu. His fun was ended with him being thrown into his room and starving that night. This was the night his bending showed itself. His resentment for the tribe grew. Sitting in the corner, a bug flew near him, and he waved it away. Adlar paused, hearing a slice, and looked at the bug to see it's small body cut right in fact. He tried it again, waving his hand towards another bug coming towards it. Again, the bug was cut in half. Then, Adlar smirked to himself. When he showed Ernet the next day, she brought forth an airbender in the tribe to teach him. For the next ten years, he practiced his airbending, still not shown any favor from the chief and the rest of the tribe.

At the age of thirteen, he was well aware of his clear dismay of being part of this tribe. He tried leaving one night, only to be found and dragged back, then punished by being whipped. From that early age, he just stayed in his own lane, but silently made a plan. He had to get out. This place was driving him crazy.

After careful planning and even more caution. Adlar snuck on to a trading ship headed towards the northern water tribe, where he knew full and well that the wastelanders were too idiotic to look. After finally making it there, he had instantly started looking for a job, feigning as a simple air nomad, like one he had met on his trip, who wanted to settle down.

Adlar ended up finding a job as a security detail for a noble family. He found an apartment as well, and even got an education. Playing the good boy, he grew very bored after a couple of years. Adlar decided to move to the Republic City, packing up all his things and once again stowing away on a merchant ship.

When he arrived, he spent the first couple of years doing odd jobs, and he went to the university for the sole purpose of getting more education. Now, he wants to claim more as his, and so he seeks out a group that can satisfy and entertain him.

Initial Powers
  • Air Blast

The user sends a burst of air out in the shape of a ball in front of them which can be used offensively or defensively.

  • Air Shield

The user creates a funnel of air in front of them that redirects attacks around them.

  • Air Swipe

The user sends a sharp jet of air out in the shape of a crescent which can be used to cut things.

  • Enhanced Agility (Passive)

The user is naturally more agile than a normal human.

  • Gliding (Passive)

The user can glide across the air for a short period of time; this can be sustained for a medium amount of time by using a glider.

Basic Powers

  • Air Strike

The user can attach a burst of wind to any physical attack with their arms or legs for added force. (Achieved after 1 week)

  • Air Bullets

The user rapidly sends a flurry of small air blasts which can be used to pummel something in quick succession. (Achieved after 2 weeks)

Initial Powers
  • Air Wake

The user can build up massive momentum while running which can then be focused into a powerful concussive blast. The user becomes disoriented for a short time after using this power.

  • Enhanced Speed (Passive)

The user is able to redirect air flow around them, removing air resistance and generating a wind current behind them, thus greatly increasing their running speed. (50-60 mph). The user cannot use the power to enhance the speed of their flight/gliding or jumping and they're vulnerable to fatigue and high-speed collision while running at these new speeds.

  • Air Blades (Exclusive to Wind Fighter)

The user can focus the air to a fine blade which can be used as a melee or projectile weapon for a short time. While wielding these blades, the user cannot use any other airbending techniques from their hands.

  • Air Slam (Exclusive to Wind Fighter)

The user can produce a gust of air to launch enemies upwards, followed by a downwards air current to slam them into the ground with increased force. The user becomes disoriented for a short time after using this power and they cannot use it from long distances.
