Around his neck he wears a black leather collar alongside with a leather eyepatch he wears on his right wounded eye. And for only for fashion reasons he wears metallic ear rings on his left ear.

Origin[]

Given newborn life into a family of nobles within a city in the fire nation, Kaku was born from his noble mother and high ranking officer father as the last child of his multiple siblings. Since they had practice raising neat and responsible children, they figured that the last one is practically going to be a walk in the park…but they were dead wrong. Out of his twelve brothers and sisters during that young age, he was by far the worst child they have ever raised. Ever since the boy was conceived, there has never been a silent day within their grand and traditional Mansion. Even though slowly his siblings, along with all the tired nannies and maids that took care of him, have grown more used to his ear deafening crying, it was obvious that the new child was going to be more of a pain grown up than he is in infant form. Throughout the eight years that have passed, the only thing that kaku’s parents were glad for was that he showed zero signs or potential in fire bending. Otherwise, his constant childlike mess making would eventually turn to fully fledged arson within the mansion. Even though he was practically the menace in the household, he was still loved by his father who happened to be the main chief of the police station in the city. He always found his stories exciting when he either tells his wife after coming home from work or when he asks himself. And with each story he tells, he was even more determined to one thing….he wanted to be a cop when he grew up.

It wasn’t a surprise that Kaku grew up more reckless when he was thirteen and felt the constant need to dangerously entertain himself. Recently, he got a crossbow from his eldest brother, without his parent’s permission, since he’s been taking up archery in his private school. After thanking his brother for the gift, he went to his room to stock up on arrows and placing a bunch of stuffed animals at the back of his mansion for target practice. He spent hours outside in the woods shooting out targets he painted on a dozen of trees until he felt the trigger was jammed. He tried his hardest to pull it and even knocked it a few times, but it didn’t make any effect. Kaku held the front of the tool up to his eye and analyzed the crossbow to see that a spring was out of line. Sticking his finger on the spring, he placed it back only for it to Jeri up which made him accidentally pull the trigger and shot himself directly into the right eye. It didn’t take too long for the maids to hear the screaming and ran up to the back yard and be horrified at the sight of the boy bleeding profusely with the end of an arrow sticking out of his eye. Like the servants they were, they picked him up and took him inside the house before telling his shocked parent about what happened. As the father and mother figured out what happened and severely punished Kaku’s brother for giving a child such a dangerous weapon, the maids called a nearby doctor to quickly come up to his mansion and treat his wound. After the long operation and treatment on kaku’s right eye, the doctor told his parents that he was fine and only passed out due to blood loss but could never see out of his right eye again before taking before leaving. Even though they were relieved that their youngest son was still a living and resting, they were still worried that he may eventually get himself killed unless he was properly disciplined. So after two weeks of healing and getting used to his change of vision, his parents shipped him off to a military training camp to reshape him to be less reckless and eventually take after his father.

After a rough and coarse five years of harsh training and insane commands and tests from his higher ups he was able to come back home to his family who welcomed him with open arms as…the exact same person he left as…a loud, carefree child. But this time he was much older and more experienced to combat and marksmanship. He may have still been his usual trouble making self but it was obvious that he have grown a lot from his training. After a couple of weeks of Kaku annoyingly trying to persuade himself to his father to let him be a police officer, he a first was very skeptical of his son having any sort of power what so ever until he was sweet talked to by his wife to give him a chance. He promised his son that he will send his job application to the his old friends in republic city and give him the job he whined for under one condition. Kaku was to be fair to everyone, not cause any sort of mischief while he was in republic city and to never abuse his power. He gave a determined nod at all three of his father’s conditions before he left him alone to make a few calls back in republic city. It didn’t take too long to find out that he was accepted when he started to pack his bags and tune his new crossbow and give his goodbyes to his brothers and sisters. Money wasn’t much of a problem for him since his mother, who still kept her title as a noble, gave him the necessary amount need for his trip. Kaku ran up to his mother and father and gave the biggest hug he could before leaving his home to start his new adult life as a police officer of republic city.

Personality[]

Even as a baby, Kaku was always a pain in the ass to put up with. He was vulgar, loud and always purposely annoying to the people he knows. But that’s his own personal way of how he treat his friends. Since he’s the son of a noble and a high ranking officer, he never really threats about getting in any sort of trouble which eventually started his cocky attitude. He loves cracking awful and out of taste jokes to people who hates it and dislikes getting bored. But with that said, he is very prideful when it comes his job and wouldn’t give it up for anything. Although he never really agrees with the rules that comes with his job, he likes to enforce them just to prove that he’s not just doing this job for fun. He would not really kill unless necessary but let’s the people he catches live just for the sake of braging rights. He may like being annoying, but he refuses to be incompetent.
