Appearance 5 Foot 11, 165 LBS, long black hair, fairly tan skin. A dragon insignia is burned onto his left arm arm. Irrine has blue eyes and often wears a cloak wrapped around his shoulders. He has a slightly stocky and extremely muscular build. Irrine will not often be found without his cloak, which he drapes about his shoulders. He never goes anywhere without his arm length gloves and sword either.
Personality Irrine generally keeps a calm attitude, yet he greatly dislikes people who talk to him. He doesn't confide well with people. He greatly dislikes talking.He enjoys playing with his knives, and hates being interrupted when he is talking.
History Irrine was born in a small village settlement, on the near part of a cliff/overhang settlement. When he was six, his mother found that he could move rocks and things with his hands. Upon seeing this, she immediately told Irrine not to do that, since they would take him away to a school, where he would have to stay and learn to control his bending ability. Irrine's father came home that night and told Irrine, that as long as he bended inside the house, that it would be okay, but that he didn't want to lose Irrine, as he was his only child. Irrine and his family lived peacefully with all of the others in the settlement, from the village elders, to the neighboring people, to the friendly merchants and peddlers that came once every couple weeks. Irrine was 14 and a sword merchant came into the village, Irrine and his father often went to look and see what each peddler had to sell. Irrine and his father both saw the same sword, it stood out from all the rest, practically at the same time to them both. Irrine, looked at his dad and began to ask, "Dad can--?" "Son, you don't even have to ask." His father interrupted, pulling out some money to give to the merchant. "A boy of your age needs a weapon, especially if he isn't a bender like the rest of the boys your age." His father explained. "Oh! Thank you Dad!" Irrine exlaimed. His father took the sword and sheath from the merchant, and clasped it to the belt that Irrine had been given for his 13th birthday. On Irrine, the sword was clunky and large, as he was merely five foot four. Yet that didn't stop Irrine, every day when his father went to chop logs for the fireplace, Irrine went with him, and would chop smaller twigs and branches. As he continued chopping twigs and branches, he began to learn ways to spin the sword to deliver cleaner cuts, and how to take out multiple limbs from a tree. Nearing his 16th birthday, Irrine was being bullied by some of the other children in the village, as everyone thought that he wasn't a bender as he had had the dragon warrior insignia burned into his left arm, and that he never would be as good as the other children. Irrine was pushed by one of the bullies, and responded by punching the young man in the face, knocking him on his butt. To which the group of attackers raged, and seeing a fire nearby, they shoved Irrine into it. Being shoved into the fire hurt Irrine greatly, as it scarred his forearms and the lower portions of his upper arm. When Irrine was over the burns and had been healed, he still had many, many scars all over his tan arms. As his birthday was tomorrow, his father went to go visit the peddlers while Irrine was at home chopping wood, Irrine's father brought home a pair of arm length gloves. His father put the gloves into Irrine's clothing chest, where he knew that Irrine would find them tomorrow. Upon waking up, Irrine went to his clothing chest to get clothes for the day, and he found the gloves, he turned them over in his hands, and tears rolled down his face. He slid on his normal clothing and then slipped on the gloves. Irrine walked out of the building that was his home, and called to his mother and father who were in the animal pen. "Mother! Father!" He sobbed, "Thank you! I love them. No-one will pick on me anymore for my arms, as long as I wear these." Irrine smiled as more tears rolled down his face. "Son, I heard you were picked on, and I would have much rather'd you stood up to it and fought back..." He smiled at Irrine. "But seeing how that went last time, I figured giving you a way to cover it up might be a safer idea." Said Irrine's father. To which his mother chimed in, "And honey, we love you whether you have those gloves on or not!" his mother smiled as tears streamed down her face. "Mother, father, I will wear them always, they will be a reminder to me that even though I can be weak, I can rely on others to be strong." Irrine quickly hugged both his mother and father. and so it was for a few years that they were all happy. Time passed, and near the time that Irrine was 21, a disease hit the village, it killed a great many people. Irrine's mother and father died. Irrine went and got his fathers cloak, cut it and wrapped it around himself. He walked into the desert. He visited many different villages, and as he traveled he found that he could actually bend the earth. It scared him greatly that he could do these things now, but that he couldn't do them when he was younger. Irrine continued to wander until he was nearly 24. A few days before his 24th birthday he went to the Republic city, which he often heard of in his travels. Upon reaching the city he was asked many questions yet he finally had answered them all and was granted membership to the city. His 3 years of wandering were over.
Powers Earth Citizen Initial Powers Earth Bomb The user can send a small boulder flying in any direction once struck which breaks apart into many smaller projectiles when it hits something. Earth Smash The user is able to crush or even shatter anything made of stone without any force required. Earth Shield The user is able to create a small wall made of stone which can be used to defend or obstruct a path. Earth Levitation (Passive) The user is able to cause earth to levitate allowing them to use any earth they control as a moderate defense or even to allow time to prepare an attack. Compression Control (Passive) The user is able to compress earth into a much denser state allowing them to harden soil or stone for stronger offense or defense.
