As the name would imply, the Pillar Arena is decorated with an array of large metal pillars. Probenders may use them as hiding spots during matches to launch cunning sneak attacks or evade powerful onslaughts from foes. Many large bowls of water and slots for earth disks are installed into several of the pillars. The pillars have small flat platforms that contestants might be able to reach and perch themselves for great attacking positions or be able to evade a less mobile bender. The entire ground is laid out with several giant fans, much like the ones used to practice skydiving. They turn on randomly and quickly launch probenders into the air, possibly causing them to crash on the ground or be left vulnerable to attack while in midair. The pillars also have spring loaded launchers that discharge composite discs.
Note: Please do not forget the trap roll every 2 posts that determines whether your character is harmed by one of the two traps. Regular outcome rolls must still be made every post. If you roll an odd number your character will be affected by a trap, they will not if the number rolled is even.
With these rooms, dice rolls can be performed by participants. Be warned that these rooms contain logs, cheat and I will know. Simply put #d5 and you'll perform a roll. Links can be found in the comments section.
The coin toss was shown in favor of Yuuki/Juni. He may take the first post or pass it off to Kamik/Gig in the area below.
Yuuki: Yuuki felt anxious to be in such a foreign environment. The day of the probending match had arrived so quickly, and she couldn't believe who her opponent was upon entry. She froze and looked around for a way out, but realized that it was too risky to turn back. The room possessed a number of strange contraptions that only made you wonder their purpose, some of them being metal-like pillars that harbored earth and water elements. Momentarily balling up her fists, Yuuki gave a sleek swaying motion of her arms, eventually extending out both arms at a nearby pillar and summoning a stream of water along her side. Without hesitation, she beamed forward and spun her entire body once, in the midst of giving a small hop, she stopped and situated her stance--having one leg at a full angle and her back leaned forward. With momentum behind its spin, the body of water shot out from Yuuki's gaze and spiraled at her opponent.
Roll outcome: 5 (redirection)
Kamik: Strolling into the arena he smiled as he saw his opponent. Surely the universe was having a good laugh at this... He looked around and quickly analyzed the arena. Pillars, oh joy and muffins... He ducked and rolled to one side as Yuuki's attack flew at him, snaring the projectile with his armless waterbending as he went. Once out of the roll Kamik converted the water into a trio of small water whips. Two went straight for Yuuki's leading leg, aiming to pull her off balance whilst the third lashed at her head, "Just so you know I didn't have to move, I just felt like stretching before I beat you."
Roll outcome: 5 (Redirection)
Yuuki: Yuuki felt too focused on winning and defeating Kamik. In order to avoid succumbing to his remarks, she focused on the three whips that pursued her. Quickly returning to her former stance, she did a number of spins to evade the whips aimed at her leg. Before the water could even splatter to the ground, she extended out a palm that would merge the two whips back together. Tossing it towards the final whip that was aimed at her face, all whips successfully merged and were sent flying back at Kamik in the form of another water jet. However, just as she said she wouldn't, she diverted too much of her attention on her opponent, this time giving a smirk. With a fully braced stance, she was unaware of the disk that was dislodged from a pillar behind her. Looking from the corner of her eye the very last minute, the disk flew into her side and sent her rolling across the arena. She grunted heavily on impact and trembled in slight pain.
Roll outcome: 4 (block), Trap roll: 1 (trap)
Kamik:Kamik was a little surprised that Yuuki redirected his attack that easily. Well I guess she isn't as lackluster as all the other waterbenders I know. Bending some water from a nearby bowl Kamik sent an opposing water jet at the incoming attack, staring as the water splashed everywhere. It was at this moment that he noticed Yuuki getting hit by a disc ejected by a pillar. Seeing the opportunity for an attack Kamik bent water from two bowls behind him into a a trio of water whips that snaked through the pillars towards Yuuki, one they reached her each one attempted to pummel her limbs with blows in an attempt to incapacitate Yuuki. I'd rather not cause any lingering harm but prize money is prize money after all.
Roll outcome: 5 (Redirection), Trap roll: 2 (No Trap)
Yuuki: Much to Yuuki's surprise, she recovered pretty quickly. She assumed that it was probably the adrenaline pumping throughout her body. She looked up, and saw Kamik preparing to execute another attack, God, we've gotten into fights before, but not like this, she thought. She got up just as his attacks were launched towards her, slightly breathless. She examined the move, and it appeared to the same three water whips, but just more refined. She prepared herself by extending out both palms and giving an exhale that would calm her state of mind.
She maneuvered herself to the point where all three whips would completely miss her--finding it extremely difficult to redirect all three simultaneously. Planning to only redirect the last one, she was missed by inches just before doing a spin. Grabbing hold of it, it danced around her like a ribbon, "One trick..." she finally redirected the stream, keeping it in its whip form, "Pony!" She aimed it towards his stomach, hoping it would nail him right in his new pair of abs and hopefully repel him.
Roll outcome: 1 (direct hit)
Kamik:Kamik was once again surprised by Yuuki's tenacity, watching her redirect his attack once again. As it raced towards him Kamik realized he wouldn't be able to avoid it at all, so he settled into a braced position in order to lessen the damage. Kamik breath was taken from him as the whip slammed into his stomach and he hurtled backwards into a nearby pillar, cracking his head against the metal. "Ow, Damn Yuuki, what the actual fuck?" Kamik stood and patted his already bruised stomach, Well I'll definitely be hurting tomorrow, ah well. Summoning some more water from a bowl near Yuuki he created a water wave and sent it hurtling towards her, he also took some of the water from the wave and converted it into a deluge of water bullets. "Let me just guess that fucking Vaatu is gonna somehow let her escape from this too. My luck is just terrible right now..."
Roll outcome: 5 (Redirection)
Yuuki: Yuuki could predict her strike from a mile away. She balled up a fist and threw it into the air just as Kamik made contact with her attack, "Yes!" she cheered as she jumped into the air. She leveled both of her fists in front of her, and moved them in a horizontal, circular motion; all meanwhile moving her hips to the motion, "Uh-huh, uh-huh, who's your waterbender..." However, Kamik's collision looked so jarring, she could have sworn she felt it. She closed an eye and winced at the sight of him recovering from the pain. She would've apologized, but there was something gratifying to your ego about besting your partner in a battle. Kamik's next move made Yuuki slightly anticipate she could possibly preform next. For a wave its size, there wasn't much of an option. As always, Yuuki planned on letting the wave pass beside her. Hastily, she rolled to the side, and took control of the raging waves as it hurled past with the accompanied bullets. While kneeling, she calmed the waters by extending out her arm and allowing it to swim towards her as if she were a magnet. Instantly, the water formed a protective layer around one arm, over her shoulders, until it reached the other.
Fully aware of another disk that was hurled at her, she quickly dodge rolled while running closer to her opponent. She stood up on one leg and and extended the other out behind her. Thrusting her right arm forward, it extended a long tentacle-like arm of water towards Kamik, hoping to encase his entire arm. If it grabbed hold, she'd attempt to slam him into another pillar.
Role outcome: 5 (redirection), Trap roll: 2 (no trap)
Gig has neglected to post, so Juni wins the match and gets to move onto Round 2. No EP will be awarded for this match.
