Among usual air nomads, Ketu isn't exactly the most helpful, or the most friendly for that matter. In fact, his behavior is more related to a war veteran rather than an air nomad; usually quiet, tough, and serious. Not exactly hot-headed, but usually insults don't get by him without some notice, and bad behavior doesn't go by him much without being called out (if said person wants to hear it or not is irelivent). While his outside exterior shows a tough individual with hardly any compassion, if anyone can get to know him, he does have a slight soft side...and that's all. He has a strong pregidous against anyone who dares to ask, point out, or bring up the huge scar on his face. Anyone who does will get scolded and insulted (at least) or simply get beaten to within an inch of their lives (at worst).

The air nomad was born among the air nation, eastern air nation to be exact, under the name of Anil. His time through his childhood seemed almost like a totally different person to who he is now: he was much more friendly, carefree, and generally happy. He had plenty of good friends during his childhood, and also had a strong fasination in air bending. When he turned 5, he got right into training, and tries his best to handle his potencial on the airbending tecnique.
(age 6 - 11)
As the few years went by for him, 6 in fact, gaining his training bit by bit. He never was very satisfied though, despite his airbending surpassing most others his age. The reason behind this was one simple fact: the airbending tatoos. So long as he didn't had those tatoos, he would never convince himself to be a airbending master. That fact really got him annoyed, and that was made even worse when his teacher refused to give him his tatoos on numerous ocassions, claiming he's "not ready yet". That became a VERY rough issue for him, not believing he truly was even good at airbending, let along a master. So, one night, he took the extreme decision, to give himself his own tatoos! He only managed to shave his head, and got the air tatoo there, before he was caught. Upon discovery, the masters told him he single handedly mocked the air nation by giving himself false tatoos, mocking the nation as a hole. Heartbroken, he decided to simply leave his home.

On his own, Ketu found the world to me a much crueler mistress compared to his temple back home, due to the fact his home was, in lack of a better word, isolated. Making a living as a wanderer, his traveling took him to the mainland of the earth kingdom, thanks to sneaking onto a cargo ship heading oversea. Upon his travels on the mainland, the people he came across were either rude, or a bit isolated themselves. It wasn't the best way to go along a journey. For the next 4 years, his life went like that. However, fate had a different plan for him. While traveling through a path through one of the Earth Kingdom's many forests, he was soon attacked and nearly killed by a Platypus bear, the animal attacking him because Ketu invaded it's territory. The creature managed to slice out his eye, before being chased off. The attack changed everything for him.
(age 16 - 20 (present))
After the attack, Ketu kept himself isolated from other people, mainly outta shame. During that time, his shame caught up to him, and soon found he diserved what he gotten. His travels got him to republic city, and he decides to stay. Although he kept his reasons quiet, mainly it's because it would be a new way to try to "redeem himself", for being a failure as a nomad. When he did decide this, he also decided to change his name as well, because his old identity was a disgrace, and a new name would mean a new start.

The user sends a sharp jet of air out in the shape of a crescent which can be used to cut things.

The user is naturally more agile than a normal human.
- Gliding (Passive)
The user can glide across the air for a short period of time; this can be sustained for a medium amount of time by using a glider.
