As the name would imply, the Pillar Arena is decorated with an array of large metal pillars. Probenders may use them as hiding spots during matches to launch cunning sneak attacks or evade powerful onslaughts from foes. Many large bowls of water and slots for earth disks are installed into several of the pillars. The pillars have small flat platforms that contestants might be able to reach and perch themselves for great attacking positions or be able to evade a less mobile bender. The entire ground is laid out with several giant fans, much like the ones used to practice skydiving. They turn on randomly and quickly launch probenders into the air, possibly causing them to crash on the ground or be left vulnerable to attack while in midair. The pillars also have spring loaded launchers that discharge composite discs.
Note: Please do not forget the trap roll every 2 posts that determines whether your character is harmed by one of the two traps. Regular outcome rolls must still be made every post. If you roll an odd number your character will be affected by a trap, they will not if the number rolled is even.
With these rooms, dice rolls can be performed by participants. Be warned that these rooms contain logs, cheat and I will know. Simply put #d5 and you'll perform a roll. Links can be found in the comments section.
The coin toss was shown in favor of Kotaro/Hydro. He may take the first post or pass it off to Yuuki/Juni in the area below. He does so Juni may post first.
Yuuki: Yuuki was surprised at how well she fought in her previous match. Now, she was up against a completely different opponent. More or less, she was interested to see what this guy was capable of and if she could actually beat this guy after having such high hopes. "Ugh, two guys in a row?" she muttered. To mildly start things off, Yuuki lifted her arm and danced around a nearby pillar. Like a cord, the body of water extended from the bowl and whirled around her. Resting her open palms directly on her hips, she shifted her body weight forward with her arms and launched a powerful body of water towards her opponent.
Roll outcome: 4 (block)
Kotaro: The earthbender entered the arena, hoping for a less intense match that truly pushed his limits. The girl that was supposed to be his opponent seemed fairly inexperienced, but he knew better than to make a rookie mistake of underestimating someone. A large mass of earth discs flew in front of Kotaro as soon as the sudden torrent was within his line of sight. Naturally, it was easy creating a sturdy stone wall, which was enough to withstand the assault. Aiming to retaliate, half of the structure began to float on air. Kotaro's plan was to have all the stone soar over Yuuki and rain down towards her with great speed, effectively creating a stone shower.
Roll outcome: 2-Glancing Blow
Yuuki: As anticipated, the earthbender was capable of defending himself against a simple stream. She prepared herself for the earthbenders counterattack and hoped it wouldn't be anything too harmful, considering that he could manipulate a surrounding element. She braced herself as she watched the large masses of earth float above head and begin to plummet down in segments--similar to airstrikes. Yuuki attempted to evade every drop. Just when she thought she was getting the upper hand, the earth stones began to catch up with her. She could feel them rumbling from behind like a horde of bulls. She tripped and fell to the ground as a couple caught the heel of her foot and lower legs. She caught herself as she fell flat and rolled over, looking up at the final parts that rained down towards her. Momentarily stunned, she crunched up her body with her forearms blocking her face. Luckily, one grazed her back and another fell to the front of her with an impact so powerful, it ejected her, slamming her back into a pillar. Coughing and groaning, her hair fell in front of her headgear as she trembled to sit up.
Woozily making it to her feet. She did an arrangement of arm movements that allowed four streams of water to come in from all angles. They circled around her and eventually formed an active water gimbal around her. Remaining as focused as she could, she did a powerful twist and snapped her arm forward; palm faced upward. Using the momentum from it's rotation, the streams of water powerfully circled each other and spiraled towards the earthbender. Yuuki was attempting to target his chest, so once the streams made contact, it would repel him with a disorienting spin. A composite disk was sent in her direction after successfully making her move; she ducked and looked back at it crumbled behind her.
Roll outcome: 1 (direct hit), trap roll: 4 (even, no trap)
Kotaro: The sheer power of the spinning torrent was too much for Kotaro. With a brief scream, the earthbender hurled into a nearby pillar. Groaning in agony, he felt his back felt quite sore from the harsh impact. All the water left on the ground from the attack gave him an interesting idea. Earth discs quickly rushed into the puddles, merging with them to form puddles of mud with dense pieces of stone hidden within the mix. Kotaro willed all of debris to rise from the floor and separate them into spherical projectiles that he'd try to repeatedly pelt her with. He made sure to dash around more pillars while continuing this onslaught, managing to quickly stop in front of a spinning fan that surely would've carried him into the air for a painful landing.
Roll outcome: 2-Glancing Blow, Trap Roll: 2 (even; no trap)
Yuuki: Attempting to be as evasive as possible, the rapid projectiles came at her so quickly they were barely visible. Yuuki spun and leaped around as gracefully as she could, however she was just a tad unlucky. She was powerfully pushed back when a small portion of the projectiles pelted her left shoulder and arm. The projectiles splattered into shreds of wet dirt and marked the bottom side of her face, baring similarity to excess blood from a wound. She winced in pain as she fell to her knees and clutched her shoulder. She was lucky by a hair that it wasn't something worse. Although it probably would just a leave a bruise, the pain was sharp and internal. Yuuki stifled herself from sobs, because it was only enough to bring water to her eyes.
She stood up, still holding her arm in pain. Deciding to finally release it, Yuuki summoned yet another stream of water. After splashing the water on the floor beside her, Yuuki reached forward and caused three thin water whips to extend out of it and strike a specific area where the earthbender was standing. The puddle beside her was eventually gone and all built into the whips.
Roll outcome: 3 (dodge/miss)
Kotaro: After sprinting out of newly formed whips' range, Kotaro was definitely safe from their terrible sting. Seeing all the filled slots of earth disks across the arena reminded him that it'd be perfect to develop a recent discovery. Even though the ground underneath his feet wasn't bendable earth, his surroundings had a plethora of it. He began shaking all of the stone in the arena, causing the place to tremble quite violently---just like he expected. Kotaro hoped the quake would serve as a perfect distraction, allowing him to fire off a round of earth disks--each from a different angle.
Roll outcome: 2-Glancing Blow
Yuuki: Yuuki lost her footing after roughly rocking back and forth with the motion of the area. Completely concentrated on keeping her stance firm, she wasn't aware of the the earth disc that snuck up behind her. Swiftly it bounced off her shoulder and repelled her into an endless twist. Losing her footing she slammed to the floor and groaned in exhaustion. It took her a moment to recover from dizziness. She sat up and rested on her knees. She had to say, she expected a big of a challenge, and the earthbender was definitely proving himself.
Yuuki heard a strange noise coming beneath her and used her eyes to follow the sound. Looking down, she realized she was standing over a floor that had a hidden fan-like contraption within it. The strange noise indicated the fan powering up. Quickly standing, Yuuki ran ahead as the strong gust began to blow from the fans. The gust caught a lucky part of her leg at the last minute as she ran off the premises. She was slightly blown into the air, using it to complete a front flip as she tumbled off the very edge of the fan/floor. However, while in midair, she used her leg and waterbending to hurl a sloppy bullet of water directly at her opponent.
Roll outcome: 3 (miss/dodge), trap roll: 2 (even, no trap)
