Appearance

Nishiki has brown hair and green eyes. He always wears a necklace around his neck which holds the symbol of the wind nation on it. He dresses very ruggedly often.



Personality

Nishiki has a boastful personality, often over exaggerating his own achievements. He has no trouble with lying whether it is to family, friends, or romantic interests. He thinks that romance is a waste of time and is merely looking for one night stands generally. His manner of dealing with matters is quite deceitful and often involve him flaunting his wealth in some way. His social nature is very flirtatious around women, and he is completely inattentive around other men.



History

Nishiki was born within the Fire Nation. His parents were incredibly uncaring towards him and often neglected him. The child was ignored for years and years and completely abandoned at the age of 6. He was left to fend for himself in the streets. He slowly learned the ways of the street fighting to survive. Three months later he had become decent at stealing and ended up getting wrapped up into a local gang of sorts training alone for another nine months.

They taught him more than he could have ever dreamed of knowing about the arts in which he had practiced for a year in. He did petty missions for them and was abused when he returned. But he dealt with it. Why? Because they had given him a home of sorts. They had paid him well and he had been given a home inside of their headquarters.

After a while Nishiki had started making a friend whose name was Jeriah. Jeriah had the ability to fire bend which made Nishiki jealous, however after countless missions together where they had to steal they became friends. He wanted power...like his friend thought he doubted himself. Surprisingly though, on one fateful day when Nishiki was 9, he had gotten his air-bending powers and it ended up saving both of their lives. They had been sent to invade a warehouse and steal the supplies however somebody had tipped the owner of the warehouse who instead of alerting the cops had taken matters into his own hands. He had hired skilled mercenaries.

Twenty people were sent on the mission yet only two had survived. They were picked off one by one nobody knowing what had happened until Nishiki, his friend, and another person were left. Most of the supplies they wanted had already been stolen before they arrived. The mission was a complete failure and at the moment his friend and Nishiki were about to die. He learned...he was a air bender. His created blades of air cutting through the enemies as though they were nothing.

Blood littered the floor and as he fought against insanity he killed the dozens of men around them. His friend’s cheek had gotten hit by one leaving a cut across it which was deep enough to scar. When they had returned Nishiki as always...was abused. He became colder as he was told how worthless he was and ended up training in secret for three years wanting the same strength he had that night which he dreamed of over and over it leaving a smile on his face every morning as he woke up. After those three years he went undercover for two his friend learning all the information he could about the organization Nishiki had been in over the course of his life. It was at the age of fifteen that he had decided to act.

Nishiki stormed into the organization slashing down anybody and everybody who had stood in his way. He had some “friends” on the inside who he paid to convert some of the “employees” unto his side. He had approached the leader telling the man to work for him or lose his life. Of course as most people do he took the choice that saved his life but doomed his riches. Nishiki had stuck his friend in charge of the organization and made sure he was well payed to make sure he never lost control of it. He then began traveling around the fire nation acting as a poor orphan looking for work taking over organization after organization his friend working in the shadows to learn information about each and every one while Nishiki got his hands dirty.

By the age of 20 Nishiki was well known by a nickname. This nickname was “The overpowering wind”. He had made a “army” for himself which recruited orphans and trained them in the ways of the street. Personally Nishiki had become “rich” from the stealing and selling of the goods. His friend died in the process of all of this. However he didn't care.

He was on top of the world...at least in his eyes. His nickname was known throughout most of the Fire Nation. Nishiki was proud of his work and decided to rest a bit disappearing for three years before he was spotted riding on a decently pricey boat heading towards Republic City. His goal here was not greed. No...it was simply to settle down for a bit and relax. Though he wouldn't mind meeting a few “trade partners”.

  • Air Blast

The user sends a burst of air out in the shape of a ball in front of them which can be used offensively or defensively.

  • Air Shield

The user creates a funnel of air in front of them that redirects attacks around them.

  • Air Swipe

The user sends a sharp jet of air out in the shape of a crescent which can be used to cut things.

  • Enhanced Agility (Passive)

The user is naturally more agile than a normal human.

  • Gliding (Passive)

The user can glide across the air for a short period of time; this can be sustained for a medium amount of time by using a glider.

Basic Powers

  • Air Suction

The user can create a vacuum of air which pulls things toward them. (Achieved after 1 week)

  • Air Funnel

The user can create a funnel of air which is used to redirect objects.

Cyclone Monk

  • Air Barrier

The user can create a large dome of air around them which can be used to protect them and even others from harm and the barrier also redirects all projectiles back where they came from. The user is unable to take any other action while maintaining the barrier.

  • Air Wake

The user can build up massive momentum while running which can then be focused into a powerful concussive blast. The user becomes disoriented for a short time after using this power.

  • Tornado (Exclusive to Cyclone Monk)

The user can create a large tornado that will pull in anything near by and fill with debris which they can redirect for a short time. The user is unable to move while using this power as it takes heavy concentration.

  • Air Burst (Exclusive to Cyclone Monk)

The user draws in air from their surroundings and condenses it into a large sphere before releasing it as a concussive blast in front of them. The user is immobile while using this power.
