Arena Info

The arena for this match is set in the practice arena in the basement of the Probending Stadium. Instead of actually having the walls fenced off there are merely wooden barriers so those using it know where they can't go. The ground is badly damaged from a lot of use by those in the leagues. The octagonal arena has earth disk slots and water vents evenly spaced out on the ground for usage by those training.

Takara/Osamurei/Ryos: Takara jumps onto the arena and waves his hand to call his teammates. He gets into his fighting position and lifts up an earth disc. "Ready guys?" he ask his teammates. Osamurei quickly follows suit and joins Takara in the arena. He doesn’t conjure up any fire right away, instead opting to focus on his breath and what drives him, knowing that this will help increase the ferocity of his attacks and give his team a more fighting chance of winning. “Locked and loaded.” He replies with a mischievous grin. Ryos comes up from behind, wearing his hair back into a ponytail for combat. He cracks his knuckles and neck, a fiery look of determination in his eye. “Go time, fellas.”. Takara throws the disc up and kicks it towards Jun. “Let’s go!!” He shouts. Osamurei takes another focusing breath and then aims a roundhouse kick with the bottom of his foot directly facing Kairo. A blistering ball of flames immediately emerges from it, surging maliciously toward the airbender. Narrowing his eyes, Ryos dashed forward towards his opponent, Amma. Before making contact, he leaps into the air, flipping forward with his foot outstretched in a drop-kick manner, creating an arc of fire that jets toward Amma.

Kairo/Jun-Li/Amma: Kairo groans out in pain as he feels the sharp flames burn his stomach, sure they’d be some burns he quickly dashed back. When he had entered the arena, he was feeling quite cocky but ended up as the first one to take damage. He tried to figure out his next move as he managed to ignore the pain. Jun Li came into the arena prepared for anything. Literally. She didn’t flinch when Takara sent a disc of earth flying towards her direction. She side-stepped his attack swiftly. As the disc flashed past her, she hurled it around, redirecting her attack towards Ryos. Kairo smirked, deciding to tag team Ryos and fire a volley of air bullets towards Ryos along with the disc. Amma had come into the arena a little unsure of her abilities, but as soon as Ryos launched the arc of flames towards her the instincts drilled into her during her training came into play. She felt the earth discs in the arena and levitated them up in front of her, creating a rough shield around her that blocked the fire. Seeing her teammates’ attack on Ryos, she decided to take on the other firebender, Osamurei, by launching three spinning earth disks towards his left leg.

(NOTE: I have slightly changed the way intercept rolls work. Please read the rule before continuing.)

Takara/Osamurei/Ryös: Osamurei quickly pivots to avoid Amma’s earth projectiles. The maneuver allows him to evade the first two but the last one grazes his left leg and knocks him slightly off balance. Ryos deftly evades his own redirected earth disk and then proceeds to calmly block Kairo’s volley of air bullets with a burst of fire. He is initially unsure of the how he wants to pursue his next attack until he glances at Osamurei and observes his curt nodding. Receiving a wink of agreement from Ryos, Osamurei proceeds with the plan. Osamurei signals Takara to engage Kamma before turning to face Kairo and Jin with a mischievous grin. While Ryos crouches behind him, Osamurei begins launching a malevolent barrage of augmented fireballs. The attack is aimed primarily at Kairo but a couple of them are launched close enough to Jin that they hopefully serve to distract both of them. While Osamurei is launching his barrage, Ryos crouches behind him and methodically prepares to launch a firebomb. Just as Osamurei’s barrage subsides, Ryos leaps in front of him and launches a menacing firebomb at Jun's chest, attempting to blast her backwards. Takara fails to intercept Kairo and Jun’s attack but Ryos was able to dodge and block them. He sighs in relief. He lifts an earth disc and kicks it at Amma’s chest. He then crouches in a defensive position and waits to block an attack.

Kairo/Jun-Li/Amma: Distracted as she watches the volley of fireballs hitting her teammates, Amma notices too late the earth disc flying towards her chest. It hits her with full force and she slides backwards, angling her feet so she stops the slide before she's moved too far from her teammates. Some of the flames from Ryo’s firebomb hit Jun-Li in the shoulder, while Kairo felt two fireballs from the barrage hit his waist. Both teammates flinched, groaned and recoiled. Amma looks over to her teammates, positioned behind both of them, and as Jun-Li turns and sees her she gives an almost imperceptible nod. Jun-Li then turns to Kairo and nods to him, then bends down and seemingly braces herself for impact. Once in Jun-Li is in position, Amma dashes forwards and plants her right foot on Jun-Li’s back, launching herself off her fellow earthbender and firing three spinning disks simultaneously at Osamurei as she turns in the air. Jun-Li, once Amma has launched off her back, brings up two disks with her hands and shoots them at Osamurei also, with her’s and Amma’s aim for the firebender to stumble back into Ryos and throw the team into momentary confusion. Whilst Jun-Li and Amma are in the midst of their attack on Osamurei, Kairo dashes around them and directs a large crescent-shaped air-swipe towards Takara’s thighs.

Takara/Osamurei/Ryos: Identifying two perilous attacks careening toward Osamurei, Ryos attempts to ease his burden and launches a fireball to try to knock Jun-Li’s earth discs off-target. Unfortunately, his weariness results in the fireball being dispatched with insufficient accuracy. Consequently, Ryos can only curse and observe helplessly as both attacks continue their trajectory unimpeded toward his fellow firebender. Osamurei, observing that his teammate’s effort is in vain, executes a quick fire block and manages to stave off Amma’s attack. Jun-Li’s attack however penetrates his makeshift defense and Osamurei is left with no other alternative than to sprawl haphazardly to the floor. Left with a number of bruises from the dive but safe from the attack, he gets gingerly gets to his feet. Seeing his teammate is relatively unscathed, Ryos breathes a sigh of relief and turns to Jun-Li to resume his team’s offensive onslaught. He quickly activates his jet propulsion and uses it to launch himself at Jun-Li. Just before attempted impact, he aims a swift uppercut at her chest, utilizing fire burst to enhance the ferocity of his attack. Takara lifts up a stack of discs and blocks the attack made by Kairo. “Kid, your attacks won’t work against this veteran.” Immediately after blocking the attack, he manipulates the remainder of his earth discs into a small earth shelter and attempts to envelop Kairo in it and render him immobile. Temporarily out of harm’s way, Osamurei prepares to engage Amma for a final bout. Just as he is about to launch a fireball at her, he witnesses Takara attempting to trap Kairo in an earth shelter and decides to break away in order to aid him. Thinking on the spot, Osamurei places his hands on the shelter and begins to increase the temperature of both the shelter itself and the air within it. He hopes that Kairo will be incapacitated within the shelter and will be left severely drained from the heated enclosure.

Kairo/Jun-Li/Amma: She watches, seemingly in slow motion, as an attack is launched at Kairo. She thinks on her feet and runs towards Kairo, pushing him out of the way as she takes the direct hit from Takara’s shelter, trapping her. As she crouches in the shelter, she assumes that Takara won’t be thinking to apply enough pressure on the shelter to entrap another earthbender so she waits for the perfect opportunity to surprise him. However, her plan is thwarted when she feels the heat being applied to the shelter. Thinking, once again, on the spot, Amma reaches out her hands and makes contact with the sides of the shelter, wincing and pulling her hands away momentarily as she feels the heat sear across her palms. She persists, however, and forces both her hands to the side before breaking the walls off the shelter and molding them with the roof to cover herself from the source of the heat while no longer being enclosed in it. Meanwhile, Jun-Li stayed on her feet ready to pounce at any given moment. When Ryos directed his attack towards her, she nimbly twisted her hips, attempting to dodge the attack, however, she was struck partially in the right shoulder and stumbled backwards. Kairo stood to the side and watched as his teammates took a beating. He felt a little guilty for Amma taking what would have been his attack, but he knew she was better suited to dealing with the earth shelter than he was. He was prepared to make a strong counterattack,but the match just ended. Kairo sighed, feeling like he deserved to lose.

Tie Breaker

The arena is cleared out and the barriers are set up for to be the size of a solo match. To determine whose team will win, each team will select one member for the tie breaker. They will then face off in this smaller arena to decide who will win.

Kairo: He observes his teammates before entering the arena. Aside from a few burns, he felt like he was best suited to keep fighting. It wouldn't be far from the truth to say he was quite nervous to fight Osamurei by himself. Ignoring his superior height, Kairo dashed forward and attempted a leg sweep. While using the wind to add force to his attack

  • RNG roll: 4; implication: block. Osamurei will block the attack made by Kairo.

Osamurei: Osamurei quickly assumes a Bow Stance, putting him in an optimal position as he is faced with Kairo's attack. With the formidable leg sweep closing in, he takes a deep breath and executes a "Single Tiger Emerges from Cave" block. He deftly withdraws his front leg and leans his right arm against the attack, conjuring a fire block as he does so. This maneuver enables him to effectively block Kairo's strike without sacrificing flexibility. Having successfully mitigated the attack, Osamurei's thoughts turn toward offensive strategy. Rapidly processing his options, he activates his power of jet propulsion and purposes it to propel himself around and behind his opponent. Turning off the jets, he promptly launches two augmented fireballs toward Kairo's knees. Knowing that airbending consists primarily of circular arm movements, Osamurei believes that targeting the knees would grant him the best chance of landing a hit.

  • RNG roll 1; implication: direct hit. Kairo will be struck directly by the attack made by Osamurei.

Kairo: He growled in pain as he fell back, the burning pain in the back of his knees nearly bringing him to tears. But to save himself embarrassment and failure, he struggled to rise to his feet. After turning around and moving back, Kairo weighed his options for his next attack. He was tempted to try a high-speed dropkick, but his knees deterred him from trying anything like that. Considering how Osamurei defied his last attack, Kairo sped forward again. This time, he threw a punch by his side. Purposely missing, Kairo took a deep breath before exhaling a powerful burst of wind; with the intention of sending his opponent flying and causing some damage.

  • RNG roll: 3; implication: dodge. Osamurei will dodge the attack made by Kairo.

Osamurei: As Osamurei braces himself for Kairo's punch, the gears in his head begin spinning rapidly as the strike lands wide right. He immediately concludes that there is more to this maneuver than meets the eye and resolves to put himself out of reach of whatever additional onslaught Kairo may have in mind. Without further ado, he activates his powers of propulsion once more and launches himself directly upward into the air. His suspicions are confirmed as he looks down and witnesses a would-be deadly blast of air surge forward just below him and cause the hairs on his legs to stand on end. With a hunch that the danger has passed, Osamurei eases the throttle and nimbly descends back onto solid ground.
