One upon a time, in the Northern Water tribe, a noble family used to take pride on its
glorious affluence; however, after many extravagant successors, the coin cases depleted,
leaving a trouble for the 8th generation princess.
Left with a decaying castle, the current Hanabishi noble family is in debt. The father, Roku,
continues to borrow money and will not admit bankruptcy. Meanwhile, Yuko, the mother
who married for wealth, refuses to alleviate the situation and adds to the lavish spending.
The only daughter, Rika, was then born as a solution to the family's predicament. If she
were able to marry a rich man who craves for the nobility title, then the problem will be
solved; however, things are not as simple. In fact, problem is... will any man like her?
For the first few years of life, her parents were overjoyed to have her; howbeit, as time
progressed, she became more of a disappointment, causing her parents to retreat to their
vices for sanity. After all, Rika isn't exactly the desirable: fat, tomboyish, "talentless" – she
was often outcasted by women of her age. Although she learnt waterbending as early as six, she cannot sing, dance, or do any form of
feminine entertainment. She hangs out with boys of her age, often returning home after a
fight. To make matters even worse, she practically burnt a matchmaker with boiling tea.
The only redeemable qualities about her are her zealousness and independence.
Secretly, the noble noticed how she was a liability - then again who wouldn't? At the age of
15, Rika had stated to become conscious of her body. Being rejected by childhood friend
caused her to physically fume out but mentally burn out. Majority of the ladies of her age,
who already had betrothal necklaces, had stabbed her in the back. Soon enough, the
waterbender became immensely trouble. She became anorexic.
After approximately a year of disappearance from society, five months of constant food
abstinence and nine months of therapy, a new woman was born. Her chubby cheeks have
diminished into contoured features. Her porcupine boar hair had settled into glossy pink
streams. Her vertical body had carved a more prominent S-line. For short, puberty
Another year passed, and Rika, though attracting attention, was still dateless. Maybe she
was too intimidating? Cracking walls and beating up potential rapists weren't exactly the
epitome of femininity. Well, whatever the problem was, it stressed out the waterbender.
She was secretly so devastated and desperate that she'd marry someone as repulsive-looking
as prince Desna. Luckly, somewhere in the year, she had met an airbender named
Kenai who was akin to a prince charming from a story book - at least in Rika's world of
fantasy. One thing led to another until she almost, though "accidentally," slept with the
man; curse parental intervention.
Upon realizing their now-beautiful daughter had romantic feelings, Rika's parents wanted
to lock her away in their ivory tower, which was a rural vacation manor in Yu Dao. By
transferring to the province, the family would save money, boost Rika's health, and start
anew with their sugar-daddy-hooking plans. So, of course, that's what happened.
Now, almost three years has passed, and the locked princess is still waiting for her prince,
growing more bitter and agonized by every hour. Will she ever see him again? Will they
live a happily ever after? Stay tuned to find out!
