Suzume is a slender young girl with long black hair tied back into a ponytail with a red ribbon and piercing blue eyes. She prefers to wear darker clothes to help her blend in. Her usual jacket has a tall collar to help conceal her face and protect it from high winds, and is reinforced in various places to cover up damage from attacks and general wear and tear, becoming somewhat of a patchwork of various pieces of fabric and leather. Suzume normally keeps a small back on the back of her waist, often used to carry tools for picking locks and disabling alarms.


Suzume is a natural liar, adept at weaving any tale to suit her needs. She is fully aware of the difficulties in trusting someone like her, and as such does not trust anyone except herself. Suzume is prideful and confident in her abilities, making her a little arrogant and at times prone to condescension. Her loyalties are thin, and she has no qualms of turning her back on a former ally if they are no longer useful to her. While she is willing to take on most jobs, Suzume's strengths lie in espionage, sabotage, theft and assassination. Usually she keeps to herself, seeing other people either as eventual threats or targets.


An orphan left on the steps of a temple in the Fire Nation capital, Suzume never knew her parents or why she was given up. Despite this, she was taken in by the temple monks and initially trained to be a Fire Sage. However, at the age of seven, while practicing martial arts with the monks, Suzume realised her airbender heritage after throwing a punch and hurling a strong air current across the courtyard. The Sages realised that Suzume could never become one of them as an airbender and had her expelled from their order much to her dismay. In spite of her removal, one of the senior Sages arranged for Suzume to be trained by military teachers, becoming an assassin in service to the Fire Nation as a deniable asset while they manipulated matters behind the scenes.

By the age of eighteen, Suzume had become a skilled agent in service to the nation with a series of successful missions to her name. However, the success of an adopted assassin made more of the senior officers nervous; uncomfortable at the idea that if she were captured, their clandestine actions would be revealed, resulting in severe political backlash. As such, Suzume was sent on a mission to kill a corrupt politician who lived in the East of the island, though the mission was doomed from the beginning as her employers has tipped him off and Suzume was met an armed force waiting to kill her.

Despite their attempts, Suzume escaped but was forced to go into hiding. Now betrayed again, she realised that nobody could be trusted and left the Fire Nation. She no longer cared about who she worked for and made her skills available for the highest bidder, finding a healthy supply of work in Republic City.

The user sends a burst of air out in the shape of a ball in front of them which can be used offensively or defensively.

The user creates a funnel of air in front of them that redirects attacks around them.

  • Air Swipe

The user sends a sharp jet of air out in the shape of a crescent which can be used to cut things.

  • Enhanced Agility (Passive)

The user is naturally more agile than a normal human.

  • Gliding (Passive)

The user can glide across the air for a short period of time; this can be sustained for a medium amount of time by using a glider.

The user can create a vacuum of air which pulls things toward them. (Achieved after 1 week)

  • Air Strike

The user can attach a burst of wind to any physical attack with their arms or legs for added force. (Achieved after 2 weeks)

  • Air Vortex

The user can create a large spiraling gust of air out all around them which is can be used to knock down or disorient others. The user is unable to move for a short time after using this power.

  • Wind Breath

The user can create a powerful torrent of wind from their mouth which can be directed and redirected with ease by using their lungs. The user is immobile while using this power.

  • Assisted Flight (Passive; Exclusive to Gust Walker)

The user is able to sustain partial flight for a short period of time by creating large gusts of wind and forcing them upon themselves; this can be sustained for a long amount of time by using a glider. However the large gusts are somewhat loud.

  • Air Bubble (Passive; Exclusive to Gust Walker)

The user can generate an air bubble around small objects, giving them a limited ability to remotely move objects at their discretion with reasonable precision. This power cannot be used on heavy or large objects, only two air bubbles can be sustained at a time, user is immobile while using this power.

  • Yoroidōshi
A stronger and larger form of the tantō, Suzume's Yoroidōshi is reserved for killing blows rather than extended combat. Its design makes it better suited to piercing light armour than regular knives and daggers. Suzume carries her blade on her back, rather than on her waist.
