Bender type: Nonbender
Torian is a fairly tall, young man, standing at about 5'11. He has brown, unkept hair that he hardly ever tames and almost-matching light brown eyes. He has a toned, athletic build due to his constant training;hardly any fat on him at all. His usual garb consists of a white long-sleeve, covered by a vest;black pants and simple boots. He keeps his sword strapped across his back at all times, almost like a lucky charm...or a security blanket. When night falls, Torian changes into an all black outfit, consisting of a hood to conceal his identity, his trademark Gauntlet, etc.
Torian could possibly be the nicest person you'll ever meet and the best friend you'll ever have. He's as light-hearted and whimsical as a child, yet retains much maturity as a young adult. He's extremely sweet and quite the goofy little dork when he wants to be. Despite all of his positive traits, he can't help but find the negative, looking for something to criticize about him. Self-confidence is an issue he's had since he hit puberty and something he strives to work on. He does his best to hide it, but a sliver of sadness resides within him after the death of his parents. He'd give anything to have them back in his life. Despite his hardships, he never ceases the smile on his face or his void of an appetite.
Torian was born to Mako and Tsuna, a middle class couple both born in the Earth Republic. Comically enough, they met how every other couple in a chick flick meet: Guy and girl reach for the same book in a library, Awkard moment, guy insists she takes the book, yada yada. Truth be told, it was very cute. Neither one of them knew they'd end up together, even when they would talk endlessly to each other, subtle glances at the other. Both were quite clueless. They loved each other very much.
Anyway, Torian was the product of their love. He took on many features of his father, but retained his mother's eyes. Sound familiar, anyone? He was a sweet boy and was the light of their lives. As Torian turned 6, it was confirmed that he did not inherit his father's ability to Earthbend, but it did not seem to bother Mako or Tsuna one bit. To them, you did not have to be a bender to be special. Torian has proved this logic on several occassions. As he got older, the child never really grew up. He simply just got taller and gained a bigger appetite that his parents are somehow able to tame. Everything seemed peaceful, until that peace was ripped away from him.
Torian was only 12 when his parents were killed. Both Mako and Tsuna did not survive an automobile crash they were involved in on their way to pick up Torian from school. To have the police call you to tell you the news is not a good way to end a day. Torian was devastated. Fast forward a little into the future, Torian has been taken under custody of his grandfather, Koda. Little did Torian know, Koda was a retired swordmaster who was as equally devastated to hear his daughter, Tsuna, had perished. Meeting the 12 year old, Koda felt a sense of duty as Torian was all that was left of his daughter. He happily took him in with open arms. Despite his cheerful nature wavering after the tragedy, Torian was curious to know about Grandpa Koda's past as a swordmaster. Torian was always interested in the sword. Koda decided to indulge in the boy and began to recall his past. Through many stories told and Torian's child sparking up again, Koda decided to make him his newest pupil as a way for both of them to cope.
6 years had gone by. Not only did Torian become a master with a blade, he finally returned to his old childish demeanor with a dash of maturity of course. As a young adult, Koda believed it was time for Torian to head out on his own. On his 18th birthday, he surprised Torian with two gifts: the trusted sword of his own youth and ticket for a ferry ride travelling to Republic City. Torian simply took both of his gifts and grinned. "This should be fun."
The user is adept in basic martial arts, allowing them to stay on par with someone who has focused their training on bending.
The user has trained extensively with the use of classical weapons in order to make up for their deficit when it comes to taking on a bender.
The user has received extensive training in their agility in order to increase their raw physical speed. They would easily exceed any person who relied on their bending.
The user has received extensive training with weights and other forms of exercise in order to increase their raw physical strength. They would easily exceed any person who relied on their bending.
The user has received extensive training in physical endurance in order to increase the amount of physical energy they have at any given time. They would easily exceed any person who relied on their bending.
(Note: Once a power is chosen, it cannot be changed.)
The user is knowledgeable in basic medical training using herbs and other medicines to treat minor injuries on themselves and others. (Achieved after 1 week)
The user is knowledgeable in making and using chain hooks. They can be used for transportation as well as combat. (Achieved after 2 weeks)
Weapon Master(Achieved after 1 month)
The user is knowledgeable in crafting weapons, armors and even basic machinery made of metal and even basic composite materials. Metal is more durable but heavy and cumbersome while composites are lighter but more vulnerable.
The user has extensively trained with all forms of melee weaponry in order to become a master in the usage of them. As such, the user may use any form of melee weapon to its fullest potential. (This includes things such as: swords, axes, maces, etc)
The user is knowledgeable in forging anything made of platinum. Items are highly resilient and are unable to be metalbent. Not only this, but they are stronger and sharper than regular metals; making them able to cut through, withstand impacts better or break things a normal weapon could not. Platinum weighs just as much as regular metal would. NOTE: Under no circumstances should a character have a weapon, armor or devices made out of platinum without this power.
The user has the knowledge to construct and use collapsible shields attached to the forearms. While normally retracted, the shields extend outwards to provide more protection against incoming attacks. These shields can be made out of a variety of materials to augment their weight and strength.
(Note: Once a power is chosen, it cannot be changed.)
The user is knowledgeable in training a pet into following their orders in combat. The pet could range from a quick and agile falconhawk to a strong and powerful polarbeardog; regardless, the user can train them and command them. (Achieved after 2 months)
The user has extensively trained with all forms of ranged weaponry in order to become a master in the usage of them. As such, the user may use any form of ranged weapon to its fullest potential. (This includes things such as: bows, crossbows, throwing weapons, etc) (Achieved after 4 months)
The user has trained in order to achieve the ability to be as precise as possible in combat. This ranges from striking chi points to firing arrows from a bow. However, in focusing their training in this, the user has lessened the total power behind all of their attacks. (Achieved after 6 months)
Passed down from generation to generation and given to him by his grandfather, this sword is Torian's "lucky charm" and has served him well over times of combat. He can never be seen without it and would not part with it. Not until death.
This is, by far, Torian's greatest invention. This gauntlet serves a sort of advanced Swiss-Army knife. Torian had installed a variety of weapons and tools within this gauntlet that he couldn't help but pat himself on the back for. For weapons, you have your hidden blade, built in crossbow that shoots mini stingers for precise striking. He also installed a shield mechanism that releases a platinum shield at the press of a button. For maneuverability, the gauntlet can also shoot a platinum chain hook that he can use to escalate taller obstacles and use as an offensive weapon.
