Contained in a metal dome with a glass skylight would be the Frigid Arena, cold temperatures are blasted into the dome with powerful air conditioning. Probenders must endure the cold throughout the battle, prolonged exposure can lead to early symptoms of hypothermia. A very large pool of chilly water can be seen at the center and serves as the only source of water for waterbenders, earth disks are spread out across the arena. It is forbidden to try shattering the glass. Water splashed outside the pool tends to freeze, creating another hazard.

Match

VS

The coin toss was shown in favor of Titos/Onyx. He may take the first post or pass it off to Yagura/Hydro in the area below.

Titos: His generally icy facade was complimented by the frosty arena in which he stood against Yagura. He clenched and unclenched one of his fists to keep his strong arm supplied with warm blood. Not that it would matter in the few seconds after, with the impressive temperature that was surely to be reached in the event that this challenger isn't eaten by Titos's flames. He left his signature scarf at home today. Titos sized up Yagura. With a deep breath, Titos seized the first move. With lightning speed, Titos charged his subordinate, spinning into a round house kick that spilt onyx flames in a horizontal half circle around waist level.

Dice Roll Outcome:4-Block

Yagura: Yagura had entered the arena cautiously, well aware of the cold temperature. He had worn a brown winter leather jacket, black jeans, boots, gloves, thermal underwear and a brown winter cap. Along with the warm clothing and the warm air he exhaled, he was sure he wouldn't freeze to death. With some luck and proper timing, he was able to completely disperse Titos' initial attack of colored flames (OOC: Fire Blocking). He was impressed by his opponent's already apparent speed and skill and knew he had a tough fight ahead of him. Afraid that engaging in close combat would work to his foe's advantage and get his clothes burned too early in the match. He leapt backwards before launching a series of punches, a charged orb of fire was discharged from one of his fists each time he threw a punch. Every single one was aimed for Titos' legs. Yagura figured it'd be harder for him to perform any more kicks if his lower legs were burned.

Dice Roll Outcome: 4-Block

Titos: Yagura put negligible distance in his short leap backwards. Titos was impressed with his opponents retaliation, but it too was negligible. He began to close distance again, and his first step forward doubled as a defensive kick, enveloping his opponents vibrant flames in a burst of black. (OOC: Fire Blocking) He continued his frontal assault, rushing through his own flames fast enough to avoid being burned by his own fire. A quick pivot on the ball of his front foot lead into an even quicker tornado roundhouse kick. Flames spilt in Yagura's direction from his lead foot in the beginning half of the kick, followed by even more of the ebony pyre in the likeness of a frisbee from the toe of his hind leg. (OOC: fire disks and fire arc in that order) The fire stream was aimed at Yagura's feet, while the arcs of flame that exuded from his hind foot were higher, threatening to roast his midsection.

Dice Roll Outcome:5-Redirect

Yagura: The intense black flames nearly overwhelmed Yagura, the string of attacks would've surely caused sufficient damage if he hadn't redirected the flames just in time. Yagura tried to use the attack to completely immolate Titos' arms and legs simultaneously. He doubted his foe would anticipate his counter move. Jets of flame erupted from Yagura's feet and quickly carried him on the other side of the arena, hopefully giving him enough time to weigh his options.

Dice Roll Outcome: 3- Miss/Dodge

Titos: The spin from his tornado kick provided him great momentum for an evasive flip. Using his chest as the fulcrum for this movement, Titos performed a flip over his own redirected flames, using jet propulsion to give a more vertical angle to avoid it in its entirety. He landed with a roll across the frosted ground, and immediately caught Yagura back in his sights. Instead of rushing him yet again, Titos chose to allow this distance between them to remain. In each hand, Titos takes time to begin the formation of an equal number of fire bombs. He wasted no time when they reached an adequate size, lobbing them both haphazardly at his opponent. Dice Roll Outcome:2-Glancing Blow

Yagura: Upon seeing Titos' excessive attack, Yagura was quick to dash away. Although relieved he had ceased his use of colored flames, the firebender had underestimated the blast radius of the dual explosion, he felt his back light up on fire. Fortunately his quick use of the "stop, drop and roll" method depraved the unwanted flames of oxygen and they quickly died out, there were two holes on his coat which had shown his first degree burns. They caused swelling and a very familiar pain, along with the realization that he had sustained the first injury. Judging from prior experience, fighting him close quarters was actually safer rather than from a distance. Yagura quickly puts his jet propulsion to use again, cutting the gap between them. While above his foe, Yagura had quickly transferred his flaming jets from the soles of his feet to his toes while trying to make a powerful axe kick into Titos' head. Using the flames to enhance the speed of his kick.

Dice Roll Outcome: 3- Miss/Dodge

Titos: A simple sidestep and the only thing Yagura was bringing his foot down on was the frozen ground on which Titos stood. Yagura was now directly adjacent to Titos, exactly where he would prrfer to have his opponent. Flames exploded from his heel as he attempted to delivery several shots to Yagura's throat and chest in the form of lightning kicks.(OOC:Jet Propulsion)

Dice Roll Outcome:3-Miss/Dodge

Yagura: In order to avoid slamming his foot harshly into the cold floor, he redirected the flames from his toes to the sole of his foot. Moving him upwards and safely away from Titos' kicks. Landing back on the ground a moment after, he was relieved to have avoided another attack. Charging ahead, Yagura feinted an attack by discharging a fire arc that completely missed his opponent. It would serve as a distraction while he tried performing a swift leg sweep and blasting a powerful bolt of charged fire (OOC: Fire Stream + Fire Charging) towards his right knee, Yagura hoped a nasty 2nd/3rd-degree burn would make it difficult for Titos to move his right leg for the rest of the fight. Since he's been so reliant on kicking so far.

Dice Roll Outcome: 2-Glancing Blow

Titos: Yagura didnt put nearly enough effort into the false attack. Titos sidestepped simply tk the left again, avoiding it to an even further degree. Acknowledging it as a feint, Titos steadied his guard and analyzed Yagura's moves even further, expecting the follow up to be the real deal. The flames that threatened to harm his legs came at no surprise. He kicked his leg out behind him to avoid the brunt of the attack, but instead of scorching just his knee, his leg from the knee to his ankle was caught, albeit injured less so than it would have been if he hadn't evaded at all. Titos retaliated with a larger than average fireball, launching it from his fingertips in the same motion he was using to avoid the stream of fire. It had no real target on Yagura, shot haphazardly in his direction.

Dice Roll Outcome: 3-Miss/Dodge

Yagura: It was child's play to avoid the fiery orb with a simple sidestep, it had no sort of precision or effort at all. Yagura feared that Titos was performing some kind of feint like he just did. But he couldn't afford to waste time by worrying about it. He nearly set his left arm on fire and tried to strike him with a flaming karate chop, but it didn't seem like the best idea to burn his coat (more than it already was) and leave him vulnerable to the numbing colds. Instead he quickly rolled up his sleeves and chose to sacrifice his gloves by coating both of his hands in sizzling flames (OOC: Immolation+Fire Charging+Heat Resistance). Aiming to overwhelm him with a series of straight punches aimed towards his chest and stomach, he'd finish with an uppercut towards his chin.

Dice Roll Outcome: 3-Miss/Dodge

Titos: Yagura was outclassed when it came to dodging volleys of blows. Titos and his brother had been sparring for years, and Yagura could never even begin to come close the incredible speed Kairo possessed. Back on both his feet and counting on the adrenaline of such a well balanced battle to numb the pain shooting through his left leg, Titos lunged back and kept pace with Yagura as he stepped forward to throw each punch. Dipping backwards even slightly more so to evade each attack as it was thrown. The uppercut took much longer than the prior punches, giving Titos a good position to avoid by pivoting on his lead foot, the warmth of Yagura's attack feeling comfortable on his neck, but leaving him unscathed. Titos planned to take advantage of his opponent's heavy momentum. He whipped his right arm around to deliver an open palm directly into Yagura's undefended ear. Upon closing this distance, he ignited jets from the soles of his feet and both his palms, using it as both an attack on Yagura's dome as well as a quick getaway move.

Dice Roll Outcome: 3-Miss/Dodge

Yagura: He was visibly frustrated as he watched Titos avoid punch after punch, quite the embarrassment. Yagura had barely managed to duck in time, his hair nearly being singed from the unorthodox move. Seeing his foe was now a considerable distance, the firebender quickly clapsed his hands together. They slowly parted as an oversized sphere of fire began to materialize. Once it was finished, Yagura discharged the immensely charged fire bomb in Titos' direction. But rather rush directly to him, the attack flew overhead and detonated. The resulting flames surged down towards him. Yagura was still trying to ignore the stinging pain he felt in his back, the minor burns were fortunately his only injuries so far.

Dice Roll Outcome: 2-Glancing Blow

Titos: Landing quite some distance away, Titos failed a smooth landing and rolled his ankle slightly, on his burnt leg no less. He winced slightly and took a knee. He could have leapt and jetted away from the explosion, but he didn't want to risk injuring his leg even further. Instead, Titos opted to accept the flames head on, hoping he would be able to deflect enough of the attack to remain mostly unharmed. As the fire began to rain down on him, Titos punched towards the sky, releasing arcs of fire to eat Yagura's timing each arc to be accompanied by a fireball, to dissipate even more flames. For the most part, Titos was able to defend accurately, but the small hole he emptied in the blast didn't encompass his entire body, scorching the outer portions of his arms and burning small holes into his pants from stray embers. Titos rose to his feet, breathing heavily. His brow furrowed, Titos broke into a solid sprint in Yagura's direction. In a flurry of limbs, Titos threw an insane volley at ever area on his opponent he could conceivably expect to hit, each punch and kick crackling with flames. (OOC: Fire Arcs) Lightning kicks fed into open palmed strikes that in turn fed into elbows as Titos hoped to wear his opponent out.

Dice Roll Outcome: 2-Glancing Blow

Yagura: Did I just jinx myself? Musing on a small amount of wounds before and then suddenly feeling that number rise had to mean some ironic force was at play. Anyway Yagura felt his torso take on the assault, he did his best to block the fiery blasts but this only served to reduce the damage he took. A few burns had littered his chest and stomach, the flames having eaten right through his coat. Yagura groaned in agony as the pain surged through his body. A determined athlete like himself simply wouldn't give into the physical suffering he experienced. His entire torso and arms had erupted into roaring flames, incinerating the remains of his coat. Rocketing flames burst from the soles of his feet as his entire body rocketed towards Titos. His plan was simple, grappling onto his foe's body and fly straight into a nearby wall at a great speed. The savage attack matched the ferocity of Titos' previous attack. Yagura tried to latch onto his stomach, aiming to force his back to collide with the icy barrier behind him.

Dice Roll Outcome: 1-Direct Hit

Titos: With his opponent tucked snuggly into his abdomen, Titos was certain he would make a hefty impact with the frozen structure. Hoping to minimize the damage, Titos curled his body to the left, planning on both forcing Yagura to sustain whatever damage would be possible while also absorbing it into his weaker side. The collision was very anticlimactic. Luckily for Titos, no bones were broken, but unfortunately for Titos, several ribs were bruised. This would show in the exasperated gasp that escaped his lips as the wind was blown out of his lungs. As much as anger consumed him, Titos was able to remain calm in the situation, believing that losing himself in the heat of battle would only prove a disadvantage in his current state. Titos crunched his body, bringing his knees and and folding his arms so that his kneecaps and elbows were within inches of Yagura. Without hesitation, said body parts exploded with jets of flames.

Dice Roll Outcome: 3-Miss/Dodge

Yagura: Yagura was honestly quite surprised he could move so quickly after sustaining the brutal wound, the athlete pushed his left hand forward and pivoted towards his right. The rocketing flames that burst from his palm allowed him to avoid the latest attack. Yagura's torso had maintained the fiery cloak on it, enveloping his arms as well. It did a fine job of keeping him warm for now, much to his delight. He intended to take advantage of his convenient ability to resist the effects of his own flames once more, hurriedly preparing another fire bomb. However unlike before, he didn't fire it. Rather he maintained his grip on it, trying to tackle his foe and detonate the bomb in his own two hands. The resulting surge of powerful flames threatened to swallow them both.

Dice Roll Outcome: 3-Miss/Dodge

Titos: Even after sustaining a serious wound, Titos was light on his feet. Lunging was out of the question, it would only damage his ribs even more. Instead, Titos launched himself into the air, making sure to keep his body as straight as possible. Titos allowed Yagura to detonate the bomb on himself, and thought to himself that it would be rude not to help. Clasping his hands together and aiming them down at Yagura, a hefty fire bomb was released and fell onto Yagura's position solely by force of it's own gravity.

Dice Roll Outcome: 1-Direct Hit

Yagura: Well obviously he wasn't just going to stand there, Yagura's jet propulsion carried him above. His plan was to fly out of the direction of the entire blast and counterattack, but the plan had definitely backfired (OOC: pun intended). He had severely miscalculated the range of the attack, causing the flames to rain down all over his head and shoulder. Relying on his heat resistance to help endure the attack, he completely flew through it. He had lost his flaming cloak in the process. Second degree burns coated his skin, a fair amount of his pants and boots suffered as well. The firebender fought back screams and tears, the intense pain nearly made him want to quit. He had allowed his rage to consume him, his mind set on perseverance and vengeance. He pushed forward both hands, flames quickly surged from both of them (OOC: Fire Stream). Yagura had guessed that Titos' abdomen had been in agony from before, hoping that he could now double the pain he felt. The fire threatening to tear into his flesh.

Dice Roll Outcome: 1-Direct Hit

Titos: Titos was impressed by Yagura's perseverance. Not to mention caught off guard. As the flames spilt forward, Titos took a page out of Yagura's book. Diving into the oncoming pyre, he continuously shot out a volley fireballs to create space to continue forward without much damage. The damage this did deal, however, was in the form of heavy burns fully encompassing his right arm. Each fireball had the dual purpose of clearing way for Titos and threatening to collide with Yagura.

Dice Roll Outcome: 5-Redirect

Yagura: The act was quite difficult to perform, but Yagura drove himself to deflect every single fireball. He figured they'd serve as a perfect distraction for his final attack. Flames shot from his left elbow as he approached Titos one last time, the fire hurling his fist straight into Titos' damaged ribs. Yagura could tell time was running out, it was all or nothing in this desperate move. Every final ounce of his will thrown into this final blow.

Dice Roll Outcome: 2-Glancing Blow

Commentary Good job Hydro, just gotta stay consistent with tenses and touch up grammar just a tad. I thought you did a good job with emotions and details, think you could get a tad more creative with power usage. Onyx I think this is one of the best fights I've seen from you in terms of enjoyable descriptiveness and emotional thoughts of your character. Really great job. You really gotta make sure you cut out the illegal moves because they will sink your score.

Riri: *because I couldn't edit the commentary section >.<* Like Wind mentioned, try to avoid using illegal powers, Onyx, but you did great. And Hydro, some mistakes in grammar but otherwise you did well too. In general, this match was good to read.
